Do It Yourself?…. Why Not?Why not indeed…I have been asked a few times, why pay a company to do your candy buffet rather then do it yourself? Well yes, like most things in life, anyone can give it a go, but here are a few things to consider…There are 3 things which make a candy buffet“The sweets” (of course)“The Glassware” (oh yeh)“The imagination” (never thought of that, I hear you say)The Sweets – You might not of considered that buying sweets in bulk from the local shop can be expensive, unlike bulk buying from the wholesaler. The Internet is packed full of sites where you can get good deals, however some have a minimum spend (usually £100) plus there is delivery costs. Spending time trying to get the best deal& researching the various options, I’m sure you would agree this is time definitely best spent on wedding dress shopping, bridesmaid dresses, flowers……The Glassware – Choosing the right glassware is important to give your candy buffet the visual effect you desire. Yes you can pop to Ikea up pick up various glassware, including bowls, cubes, vases, which are quite inexpensive, but not so effective. Again you can trawl the Internet looking for more unusual pieces which are more effective, but again this can be time consuming & buying at retail price can be expensive, with high delivery costs because of the delicate nature of the item, not to mention the possible minimum spend….The Imagination – By the time you decide to have a candy buffet, your imagination would of already been going crazy deciding on the theme of your wedding, I’m sure your dress will be chosen & bought, flowers & bridesmaid dresses, favours & centerpieces on order… and all to co-ordinate with your carefully chosen theme. So deciding on your candy buffet can either be easy or difficult depending on how much time & thought you have left. Do you want this to co-ordinate with your theme and/or colour… or do you want to go all out ‘Retro’, or abit of ‘Pick n Mix’ with penny sweets….or just a selection of your all time favourites…..Then there’s the set-up, accessories to dress your table, sweetie bags, scoops, tongs….Or you could just drop us a line and ask us about our Bespoke Candy Buffets…. it costs nothing to ask & no doubt save you a lot of money & precious time!But most importantly, you will get a stress free fabulous sweet table!Uncategorized

Busy weekend

Good afternoon, the sun is shinning and we have a busy weekend ahead of us. Small display of our work can be seen at H Samuels the jewellers, this Saturday at the Kingdom shopping centre Glenrothes. Have a wedding at the Keavil Hotel in Dunfermline on Saturday evening, first time our vintage candy buffet will be put out..... And finally topping it of with a wedding fayre on Sunday at the Old Manor in Lundin Links from 12-4pm......... Happy days xxxx
